Type 9 cad drawing or at least measurements

Looking for the dimension for the bellhousing for a type 9

looking to fabricate an bespoke bellhousing and would like accurate measurements.

So, if anyone has access to these, it would be nice

I don't know if this is the correct way to do it, but I'll give it a shot (thought it might be better to use an old thread instead off starting a new):

I'm looking for the exact same thing as the original poster was looking for... drawings with measurements of the Ford Type 9 gearbox. I might also be interested in the very same for the Type E gearbox. It is going to be used for modifying a bellhousing in order to connect a Mi16 XU9J4 engine to the gearboxes.

If anyone has this and might be willing to share, I'll be very happy. Thanks, lochraceness

Be aware that there are at least 2 bellhousings for the type 9, the 4 cylinder and the v6 , the diesel may be the same as the v6?. The gearbox input shaft is also a different length

Thank you for your reply.

Do you know if the box itself is different other than the shaft length? I'm going to use a bellhousing from an LDV Pilot van which need to be milled down a bit because the shaft is too short. What I really need is a drawing with measurements that shows the face of the box where the original bellhousing normally sits... I need this in order to make a spacer that fits both the bellhousing and the box.

I actually have both a type E gearbox and a type 9, but I believe the face where the bellhousing sits are the same on both boxes. As far as I've been able to work out the length of my type E shaft is 176mm from the face of the box. I think I wish to use this box because it's a 4 speed and I'm going to use it for racing purposes.

Please let me know if you would like me to start a new thread on this subject. Thanks.

Cheers, lochraceness

The V6 and the diesel use the longer shaft which may be about19mm longer , the diesel box doesn't have very good ratios though
