duratec misfire
Hi all my 2003 mondeo has just started misfiring on a trip back from the north tonight and the engine managment light has now come on any ideas on
what this might be

My friend had a 2.0 mondeo with an intermittent miss which was coil packs, I think it cost him £70 ish to do and from what he found was a common
fault. It was quite intermittent though, some days it would be great then others a bit missy and down on power.
EDIT: he had the EM light on too

Check the butterflies inlet manifold, there are problems with the secondary ones
