zetec camshaft cover bolts
where can i get replacements bolt for the cam cover. Just snapped some.

They are standard M6 bolts Femi.Any auto parts shop will have em.
Or go to some where like arndale or boltfast and get some nice stainless socketcaps.

cheers Andy, I bought some 6mm ones and snapped them all before getting to the recommended 7 N/M. I thought they were just not strong enough and got
some 12.9 ones and snapped them as well. Start to think the bolts are bottoming out and twisting. So i wondered if proper fords ones were available. i
know its sounds strange.

TBH i'm surprised the bolts snapped at 7nm.I would have thought the aluminium
threads would have stripped before the bolts snapped.
The tapping on all 3 zetecs i have got go right through the casting lugs.

You're not torqueing them to 7kg.m (=70N.m) aren't you?

got to be a wrong setting, you would struggle to stretch a rubber band at 7nm
