carbon fibre intake manifold?

can it work?

i mean a manifold for carbs, not just an airbox with runners, but the fuel air mix will go through it.

the one in the photo is just for a injection engine right?

nope, i mean one that goes between the engine and the carbs

i need one made, i've got a sort of working template one, but its made of steel, and is going a bit rusty inside, plus its got all sorts of pockets inside where liquid fuel can gather and get trapped, which i don't like

Yes you can. Streamline carbon would be able to do this for you.

Oh and the one pictured is for a Honda B16C or B18 isnt it?

No reason why it isn't possible.

Lots or reasons why it isn't sensible.

Have you considered remaking it in stainless, or aluminium.
