Duratec - removing flywheel

Hi,

How have people locked out the flywheel to undo the bolts holding it on? also, I think the bolts might be the star shaped head ones, what socket do I need to undo these?

Mark.

A 12 sided socket will undo them

Use an impact wrench to undo them is easiest, they have threadlock on too so are very tight.

If not get one person to hold the crank still with a breaker bar on the front pulley bolt while you undo the flywheel.
