Exhaust Rivets

Hi Guys

I have a yoshimura exhaust can I am trying to repair. The can bolts on to the exhaust pipe via a flange and 3 bolts, but someone has tightened one of the bolts up too much and split the ally flange so i need to get it welded up. The flange is riveted on so I need to remove the rivets - are they anything special or just normal rivets?

I think they will be closed steel rivets.

I dont know to be honest but just to say that I used rivits to hold the end of my repackable can on and they spin in the hole and let a small amount of gas \ liquid out when it runs. It makes no difference to noise or performance.
