R1 Carb Connections

I'm sure this has been asked before (I remember the picture), but can't find it.

I'm planning on fitting previously purchased Bike Carbs - after numerous years of them sitting in the footwell of the car

I'm after a complete list of what each connection is on a set of R1 5JJ Carbs, and where these connect to. I've identified the Fuel In pipe, but that's about it.

The slider on the top - Is that a manual choke?

Also - What Throttle cable to use? Can I use the Original Bike Cable - or is there an aftermarket version for the standard Pedal block setup? For bolting to Pinto, where inlet is on the nearside, what's the best routing for the cable to minimise cable stiffness (if you know what I mean?)

Thanks
Rob

Slider is manual choke, which needs a helper spring to return it.
I used a modified Sierra cable to keep the ball socket end, a new outer and some push bike ferules etc.
Needed some return springs on the carb and a pedal return spring on the pedal.

I have zx9r carbs but similar idea to r1
slide on top is choke slide i use the bonnet pull of the sierra under the steering column
I use a push bike rear brake cable for the throttle
The route for the cable is just behind the rocker cover

Thanks.

Do I only have to connect the fuel in? Is there a retrun, which should be blanked off\connected back to the fuel in via a t-piece.

Is it advisable to connect the coolant in to the carbs, How?

It looks like those black pipes at the top, are just open to the atmosphere

Snapper - Do you have a close-up picture of the throttle connection at the carb, as it isn't clear as to how the cable sleeve is held in place?

Jacko - Where did you get the TPS connection, for Megajolt.
