How do I know which blade engine I have ??

Bought MK INDY-Blade few weeks ago and am wanting to make some changes to the engine setup. i.e. dynajet. filters etc.

Trouble is I don't know which engine model I have as I didn't build it..

I know its got magnesio or something on the rocker cover but don't they all ??

Its got carbs but so do loads of them.

What else can determine which engine I have ??

Also where is the best place to but DYNAjets and how easy are they to install and setup ??

TIA Alan

Can you find the engine number? It's near the clutch cover plate.

As McLannahan said, find the engine number.

It's 2 letters, 2 numbers, one letter, dash, 7 numbers.

Except for bikes up to 1994, the "xxnnx-nn" are enough to tell the year/model.

example, UK CBR900RR 1998 is "SC33E-22nnnnn".

Put your initial here and I can look it up on the Haynes manual.

Alan, if you can trace your clutch cable you'll see this attaches to the small clutch arm. A few inches away from this is a small flat surface (inch by 3 inches). The engine number is stamped into this and takes the form HappyPapa has posted above.

Hope that helps. If you get stuck I'll take a photo and point it out a little better than my description!

Wouldn't bother, just enjoy it, It's fast enough to get you a 12 month ban and more than fast enough for a good trackday session, as I've said many times before " would old man Honda have spent millions designing an air box for the blade if a 50p bit of foam worked better" still it's not my car or money, I spent mine on a set of 888's
