Lightening or get a Light Flywheel

Not long till stick the engine in and I was thinking about lighter flywheels. As I'll be going to just over 9k rpm, I was thinking it'd be nice to have a lighter flywheel to get those revs moving. Is it worth it? If so, is it best to get a new, already lightened flywheel, or is it acceptable to get my flywheel lightened?

I'd personally spend a bit more on a purpose machined one than lightening a stock one. Slightly too much material taken away and it could try to escape at 9k rpm it won't be pretty.

I'd go for an alloy flywheel if theres one available - the one in mine weighs a quarter of the stock one , and the engine damn near jumps out of the car when the throttles are yanked - and it will still tickover at 450 RPM........

......and it may go a little lower when I get finished balancing the throttle bodies (although 650 is about the limit , as it stops charging any lower than that )
