center silencers
i am needing a new centre silencer to go with my buddyclub tail pipe/silencer as the original buddyclub one is too long for the mnr and means i cant
fit both silencers on the side of the car,and the only way to make it fit is to route the exhaust out of the rear which i have done. i am not overly
happy with it though and think it may cause problems so am thinking of a smaller silencer then the buddyclub tail pipe!
1;can anyone recommend me a good unit which wont restrict power too much? i have been looking at the oval stainless jetex ones and also chrome and
cherry bomb from deemon tweeks? cheers

Having used a Cheery Bomb in the past can only say that as a silencer they aint, very VERY loud. Ray
To make a car go faster, just add lightness. Colin Chapman - OR - fit a bigger engine. Chippy

Second the Cherry Bomb, very loud and you can't repack it, they get to near straight pipe loud after about 6 months.

I have what is basically a cherry bomb from Chromerzone, attached to my 90-something BHP x-flow by a 4-2-1 manifold. When newly packed it scraped
through the SVA by about 1 or 1.5 dB - there is NO WAY it would pass IVA!
Mind you - the carbs' intake roar is louder...
The cherry bomb can be re-packed - after significant surgery. This basically involves cutting round the cylinder with a thin grinding disc,
spot-welding a steel ring in, then pop-riveting the casing back onto the newly installed ring. Easier to show than explain (thanks to 907 for helping
me to sort that out)
