Duratec with Jenvey DTH TBs

I'm about to invest in a set of DTH jenvey 45mm Throttle bodies for a duratec installation.

I know most everyone would recommend bike tbs, but it seems an faster and easier route to make it work.

Isn't 45mm to much for a standard engine? Although it seems to be the recommended size it seems too big and I don't know how can low down torque be affected.

Thank you!

45mm Jenveys will be fine on the 2lt Duratec. Before you buy you might want to look at the ATPower direct to head TBs as an alternative. Remember with the Jenveys to get the throttle lever kit as well (it is expensive but worth it).

I ran 48mm DTH Raceline throttle bodies, which are made by Jenvey. Cracking bits of kit. No hassle, bolt them on and they work. Theres some pics in my archive under the Duratec section.

There are some cheaper options to the lever kit, one of which is a cable quadrant to fit and then you just need to make a little bracket to hold the end of the cable. Raceline sorted me out with the set. Might be worth a call to them?

Also I would blank the injectors in the throttle bodies and use the standard head position, theres a wider and cheaper range of injectors to fit in the standard position as they are standard long Bosch type with 14.5mm O-rings.

Excellent! Jenvey 45s coming soon with linkage included!

David I read your thread many times and it's very very informative. I think I'm going to blank the injector ports in the TBs but I'm undecided yet If I should provide a vaccum port (jenvey TB does not provide for one, I understand) if running pure alpha-n. I don't plan to run forced induction.

Thanks again.
