zetec will require an ecu so main mess around is electrical. other problem is emmisions unless you get a really old zetec.
Life is like a bowl of fruit, funny how all the weird looking ones are left alone

Having built a Tiger Cat E1 Pinto, and also a Tiger Super 6 Zetec, i'd suggest building it with the Zetec from the start if thats what you want
to end up with.
For starters, the exhaust is on the opposite side so you'll end up with a large hole on the driver's side to patch / replacement side
panel etc. You'll also end up with a hole in the bonnet where the air filter needs to poke out (whether single or twin carb setup). You will
then need a new exhaust system to suit the engine swap. Prop will be fine as the gearbox doesnt need to move. Tiger supply engine mounts for the Zetec
which may need the chassis modifying (where the flat plates are).
If you want to keep costs down, i'd suggest a pre-Aug 95 1.8 Zetec to get through IVA. Cheap enough to buy and decent power (circa 155bhp) with
a set of bike carbs / megajolt ECU if you get the HP version of the 1.8 engine (or fit 2L cams to a standard 1.8. There were 2 versions of the 1.8 - a
115bhp and a 130bhp HP version.
