Reverse gear box woes

Hi guys and gals,

I gave my car a little run up the back lane today and I think I've found a pretty chatostrophic problem. I bought a nova racing reverse gear box off ebay, and its fitted the usual way in the tranny tunnel with 2 new custom made balanced propshafts. When taking off on low revs I get really violent clunking and general unbalance in the prop/transmission, gradually when picking up speed it slowly goes away. I have had a mechanic check the diff and he says it is fine. I think its the verse box, im just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this? Im thinking of sending the box back to the manufacturer for a rebuild to see if that helps, it cost a fortune in the first place
Any advice gratefully accepted.

Many thanks

Dan
