why wont it just go!?!
Lost half a sump of oil yesterday.... Oil catch tank which is connected to the crank and rocker cover is getting filled with this
Started engine again this eve and after a few mins running see the pool of brown oil under the yellow valve.
Water level is full in the rad.. head gasket ?
What should I do before taking the head off... again, to help diagnose the prob?
NA YB BTW

Did you have overheating problems if so the head may be warped
you can have it pressure tested they use a coloured dye to see whether there are gasses leaking into the water system.

Have you done a comression test to make sure it's not 'blow by' gasses pushing it out?

Did compression test all within 10psi bracket.
checked the head bolt torques and all seems fine, one is slightly suspicious but still clicks at 90lb/ft rest are 110.

I would be checking the crankcase breathers are clear, pressure buildups can cause all kinds of weird symptoms
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation
