Exhaust Manifold

I have a packaging problem at the back of my middy.

Essentially the donor exhaust manifold (volvo 5 cylinder NA) points down from the exhaust ports and occupies the space where my rear upper inboard suspension mounts are.

Obviously a custom 5 into 1 exhasut manifold would solve problem but one solution could be to release the exhaust manifold header tubes from the flange and flip the tube bundle and refix to the flange. This would move the manifold away from where it would foul my suspension and I could route the exhaust accordingly.

Potential problems
1 How do i get the flange off, it looks to be shrunk on and tackwelded on the back side. Anyone know if thats how they are fixed?
2 Now the exhaust will basically run back to head for the first 10-12 inches, this might encourage/drop condensation/debris/loose carbon back towards the head when the engine isn't running. How much of a concern is this??

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I think a lot of peoples manifold run up hill out of the head to miss the chassis (on a 7) so i doubt it'll be a problem...
