Jim McSorley has mated a Zetec to a T5. His site has an identification guide - have a look here
http://mcsorley.net/locost/powertrain/default.htm
Used by Ford in Aust for I6 and V8 Falcons, in US for Mustangs and Thunderbirds.
Used by GM for Corvettes, Camaros, etc.
The T56 6-speed is used by Aston Martin, Corvette, Holden/Vauxhall Monaro, Ford Falcon XR6T & XR8

The boxes have a ss tag on which identifies the application. They are made now by tremec & their website may identify the box from the tag number,
if not I've certainly seen lists on the web. Most UK ones are off old sierra cosworths. I also have a spare but the one in my car has a dodgy
5th gear so I might need it!
