zetec ecu

hi all,
looking at different ecu for my 2.0l zetec using esc with bike carbs at mo, have found a rolling road in my area that will set up bike carbs, noticed banger boys are using mondeo ecu with carbs, any body tried this, have experience of this setup,
thanks,
andy

Would be interested to know as its probably the cheapest ignition solution.

Mine just running on edis limp home mode at the minute and wondered if a ecu could be added in on the cheap.

If you want to use the std mondeo ecu do a search as loads of info.

Big_wasa is running std ecu with GBS type manifold, so are others.

I'm running a cvh so don't have any of the mondeo wiring, I'll probably go MJ but interesting to know if I coudl fit an earlier mondeo ecu just to run the spark.

Mike, for the IVA why dont you run std esc hybrid unit and std carb on, i am sure somebody on here ran std esc hybrid unit with bike carbs, if the carb is kaput webber offered a DMTL twin choke as a replacement without any more power.

Thats what I was thinking.

CVH
Edis and coil pack
Early non PATs mondeo ECU
Bike carbs on a homemade manifold.

But only if I can find a cheap mondi ECU, (is there a difference between an ESC and ECU?)
As anything over £40 and I may aswell go straight for Megajolt.

The banger boys are using the eec-iv over the esc due to the low rev limit of the esc.

They are looking for pre pats and thats why the price has gone sky high, and they are 20 years old.

Yes the megajolt is programable but thats only as good as the guy that maped it. Most people will not map one, they will just ask for a map.

Mike just the edis is poor and the esc will be much better on the cvh. I ran a sierra that I converted to esc dis and it ran much better.
