Splined release bearing - Is this correct

Hi all, well back onto the car after a long break, its good to be back in the garage.

Just cleaning the gearbox and wondered whether people thought that this looks like the correct bearing ? The shaft it moves along is smooth however the bearing seems to have small flat splines. There is some play when I rock the bearing on the shaft and wondered whether there should be or if there should be next to no play at all?

Obviously I am going to be replacing the bearing but just thought I'd check before getting hold of the same one.

Many thanks, Andy

Don't worry, as said they're just to reduce friction/sticking and not splines.
