First Test drive since gearbox problem

well i finally fitted my new clutch master cylinder and was able to test the gearbox. everything went ok apart from an oil hose popping off and causing quite a mess, i noticed it fast and shut it off straight away. Looks like ill be crimping the ends rather than jubilee. Also, a question for the duratec owners, what size master cylinder are you using? my original mgb one was 0.75" but raceline sell there kits with 0.70". So i fitted a raceline one but the biting point is still rather high. Is this normal?
