Zetec turbo engine engine breathing

I am running a Zetec turbo based on a Focus RS engine and could do with some advice on the engine breathing.
I am currently just using the cam cover breather into a catch tank with the original one on the engine block blanked off.
My oil pressure is around 90psi, a bit more when cold, is that a bit high? If so, could it be down to lack of breathing?
Cheers for any body elses experiance.
Dave

Thanks for that. I'm glad I've put a restrictor on the oil pressure feed to the turbo now.

90 psi is about right.
This engine needs to breath the crankcase, during the development we had a lot of problems related to engine breathing blowing the turbo seals.
I would route the one on the side of the block to a catch tank as well. Did you keep the cylone separator from the original engine install ?

The orininal seperator won't fit behind the turbo so I have fitted a blanking plate on it. Funnily enough, I've had to replace a set of seals already but I thought that was because the oil pressure supply to the turbo was too high, so put a restrictor on.
Do you think that the tapped hole used to pu the top dead centre tool in could be used as a breather? Or is this too small and too low on the block.
Thanks for the advice

The bolt dropped out of the timing hole in mine a couple of years back on a sprint track. The engine and engine bay were plastered in oil and lunch was called early while the marshalls and I cleaned up the track. Not my happiest or most popular day. Some sort of oil separator or internal baffle plates would be needed which would need the hole enlarging. I would say difficult.

I ended up drilling out one of the unused engine mount holes on each side of the block to 15mm and pressing in a hose fitting. These are routed to the catch tank. Before I did this it was breathing heavily from the cam cover breather, now it will barely cover the bottom of the catch tank after being thrashed all day on track. Highly recommended.

A bit like this one (only mine is in a different place and one either side of the block, but same principle)
