zetec se small Coolant casting?

Quick question, the zetec se has a casting on the rear that has a large, a small Coolant connection and a Coolant temp sender in it. This also acts as a mounting for the coil pack. The large pipe faces rearward and as I have little room at the rear of the engine I am looking for a suppler of a low profile version where the large pipe exits perpendicular to the engine on the inlet side. I have seen these (on the norwegian? Gulf colour mk1escort) but can't find who stocks them.

All ideas welcome and appreciated.

Thanks.

There should be two outlets, one to top rad hose that runs down the exhaust side, the other smaller that is the heater matrix inlet

They do the housing with or without the coolant sensors

It's alloy so can be chopped and reweled to suit your application, as far as I know there are no off the shelf solutions, I can message Markus who has that gulf mk1 if you like and ask him about his

Johnny5 - thanks for the link, much appreciated, but the engine is a Zetec SE - totally different from the blacktop/silvertop ones and it is not the thermostat housing (which is on the back of the Zetec E and on the side of the engine in the SE) just a manifold for the rad and heater hoses into the engine.

Beaver34 - Yep, it has two connections - one large for the rad water in and one small for the heater out plus a temp sensor - both face straight out the back of the engine and therefore into the bulkhead on my car - I would like to change this as it would put the engine almost 100mm further back in the engine bay - an email to Markus would be great to see if he know what this came off - on his Turbosport page (I've posted on there and also to Scott105 as he is building a SE Anglia as well) it says this was from BJP Services but can't find contact details for them, anyone know whether they are still in business and have a contact, also dropped Bill Falconer an email who seems to have done a few RWD SE installs.

Many thanks for the help.

I had a straight outlet on mine, shawspeed gave me it went straight out not to the side like standard, easy for a alli welder to do that for you

Markus is on Facebook do you use that? I'll send his name across he is a good guy

Beaver34 - many thanks, will be speaking to shawspeed at some stage about bell housings so will ask them as well.

Just to be sure that everyone knows what I am after as I think we may have got the Transverse and RWD "straight and side" mixed up -

my standard manifold outlets are in line with the engine so point rearwards on the RWD installation (left on the FWD installation I think) which means that I will have to leave at least 100-150mm behind the engine (from the rear of the block) to fit this in front of the bulkhead (90mm for the manifold and then space for a right angle rubber tube). I have seen manifolds that replace this on a number of escort installations and the exit come out perpendicular to the line of the engine besides the inlet which will make life a lot easier for me. not sure if they are pukka jobs or home made mods, only one that looks like it is an OEM part is the one on the Gulf Escort of Markus.
