DIY injector cleaning?
As above, is it possible, if so how. My engine has been inactive for several years and I am attempting first start. Seem to have a good set of plugs
and the engine will spin over , cough and fire for a few revs but not run. I suspect injectors but it could of course be something else. Any tips
welcomed.

ultrasonic cleaning is good for injectors. shouldn't cost much to have them done. hell an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner would do the job

Do you have a fuel pressure? What ECU are you running? Can you see a spark?

I cleaned mine, old fuel pump, mains 12v battery charger with only 1 diode, thinners & a couple of big jars.
The charger pulses 12v @ 50hz and runs the pump and injector, join these together with a bit of rubber tube drop the pump into a half full jar of
thinners, injector points back into the jar and plug it in.
After about 15 minutes my worst injector was spraying a nice clean jet, I then squirted the injector into a measuring jug and timed how long it took
to fill, did each in turn until they all passed similar quantities of fuel.

Mark, what thinners did you use? Link above talks about carb cleaner but does that exist anymore? Going to give your method a try.

Cheap cellulose gun cleaner did it for me, you can still get it from good motor factors or even diesel on petrol injectors.
Make sure you terminate the leads well, sparks are bad news!

Try spraying a mist of carb cleaner or petrol down the throttle bodies to see if it momentarily springs in to life - they at least you'll have
sanity checked that it's definitely a fuelling issue
