Duratec front bowl sump?
Hi all,
Does anyone know if there is a car in production with the duratec he engine and a front bowl sump?
Online searching is hellish, been at it all morning.
Cheers, Paul.

see what you mean it's more of a middy isn't it?
Though it also looks to be fairly shallow, is there a plan b where you could move whatever it's in the way of?

Appreciate you'll probably be wanting an off the shelf fron bowl sump (cheaper, ready made etc.)
Might it be more effective to look for a custom one made for the job. When building my MK Indy I got the factory Pinto sump modified (re-shaped) to
increase ground clearance, but maintain oil volume.

It's not cheap but you could try ERA(formally Tiger)

Just keeping this updated. I think I've found one - the Mazda 3 MPS engine is the same family as the duratec and it has a semi-front sump by
design.
