xflow rusty coolant flush - go back from OAT red to blue?

I've just flushed out a load of very brown rusty water from my kent/xflow engine.
I did have it filled with red OAT, but I'm wondering if it should be IAT blue?

Any tips please? I don't want to do anything exciting here, but I would like to keep up with modern tech if I can.
at the moment, it's flushed and full of tap water.

any recommendations for a flush would be appreciated too. I've already run a dishwasher tablet through it.

thanks,

Fill the system with a citric acid (5-10% by weight) solution and run for 15-30mins, cool off then flush with clean water until it runs clear, it will need flushing in all directions to clear out any residues. Once clear fill with a weak (2% by weight) baking soda solution to neutralise any remaining acid and run for a couple minutes, then rinse though once more.
A compressed air/water flushing tool is useful to clear sludge etc if a little messy. (Like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/388428209306)

Refill with decent quality blue antifreeze (comma g48 or similar) at a 50:50 ratio straight away once clear to stop any flash corrosion while there is just water in the system.

The red antifreeze is only OK if there is no yellow metal (copper based) or lead solder in the system, it slowly strips the copper and lead from the respective alloys, causing leaks and sludge buildup.

I done a major engine flush on my jester kit a few weeks ago another old ford engine

The the car had just the coolant/anti freeze put in it so it could be started after a very long time being not started

by an old school tuner. When I flushed it the blue coolant had gone bad.IE Blown rusty looking

So I added a Holts Speedflush to the coolant then ran it up to temperate.

Don't forget to run the heater blower on full so it goes right round the full system.

after the first clean water flush I added a second holts Speedflush to just the water after many

clean water flushes/engine warm up then drain 6 in total to get every bit of old crap out.

then refilled the entire system up with a classic coolant/antifreeze mix

well worth doing.

The weekend just gone I done the same with the oil but that needed only one oil flush/cleaner

then new classic oil

Almost forgot don't forget to take the thermostat out so you get a full system flow
