Sump - front or rear?

Just a quick question - which is easier to mount? A front or rear sump engine? Thanks.

doesn't matter cos in order to make the sump shallow enough for ground clearance ,the sump will be at the front and the back............there's no cross member's so no probs.

Bolt the pick up in place and then see which way the sump needs to go on?

I fitted a front bowl sump. This way, the sump pan is close to the front wheel centre line. Makes speed bumps so much easier.

Ps. Also eliminates oil surge problems when braking - all the oil moves to the front. Has the opposite effect when accelerating, but I figured I can brake harder than I can accelerate.
