pinto injection
anyone know if the pinto injection engines will be a DIRECT swap for a 1.6 carb'd pinto (electrics excluded obviously)? its just ive made a
complete exhaust and engine mounts that i dont want to waste...
but 1.6 is a bit crappy, isnt it..

I had an idea that the 2.0 has a taller block than the 1.6.
So there might be some adjustments to make.......

I think you are right, except for the1.6 emax which was a 2.0 with narrow pistons, build for economy
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

taller block, would that make the mounts different too, or just the height? theres no bodywork to worry about yet, plus the exhaust is easy to modify
- its just scrap welded together! cheers.

1"ish height difference
Shouldn't really matter. Your exhaust should flex that much.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I just swapped a 1600 pinto for a 2 litre one, they are taller. Bonet is now very sung!
