Oil pressure relieve valve
I think mine is Jeff Becked.
First of all - remember, my engine is a Rover K series, so obviously I can't discount the possibility of a blown Head Gasket.
However...
There's no oil in the water and no water in the oil.
Here are the symptoms I'm having.
1) Oil leak from the front of the cylinder head onto the exhaust ( transverse engine, remember). This has just started happening.
2) When I switch the engine off, it takes a good 6 or 7 seconds for the oil warning light to come back on, so I reckon I have excessive oil
pressure.
The two cylinder head breathers are absolutely clear with no blockages and are both in good order and intact.
Any thoughts, anyone ?

*Minor Update**
Just been for a gentle drive of around 15 miles or so. It no longer seems to be chucking oil out ( no burnt oil smell from the engine bay) amd the oil
pressure light comes on more or less instantly upon switching the engine off and immediately turning the ignition back on to check (I'm sure you
know what I mean by that last bit).
Now - a bit of further half baked theory.
On both previous occasions when it has leaked oil, It's been just after I've been ragging it. First time was at Kames sprint track earlier
this week - 2nd & 3rd gears all the way and bouncing off the rev limiter at least once every lap. Second time was last night when BigbriGlasgow
was following me in his new car/my old car. Well - you've got to rag it in a situation like that. So - it may have been breathing err... a wee
bit heavy...
Stick with me - I'm nearly there.
When I had the cam cover off this afternoon, it was fairly obvious that this engine really has seen at least 100,000 miles - going by the
discolouration on the cam lobes and scuffing to the same.
So - I'm not particularly worried. If it gives me any sort of problems, it's probably due for replacement anyway. Pulls like a good
un' though - as my followers last night will maybe testify

D'you think it would go well with a VVC ?
How tricky from a wiring point of view ?
And would I do a Dudley and keep the original gearbox
