Sierra diff. What oil and how much?
I've got a Sierra diff, and need to refill it with oil, Does anyone know the amount of oil you are supposed to put in? As there is no way of
telling when you've poured enough, is there??. Also what type is normally used?
Cheers,
Mark

According to haynes...
4x4 1.0 litres
Non 4x4 0.9 litres
Which presumably can be read as:
LSD 1.0 litres
Non LSD 0.9 litres.

i used ep 90 too.
the official line is 10mm below the filler plug iirc, but i'll be buggered if i know why they didn't put the filler plug 10mm lower.
it's 25mm below ont the p100
take direction from those above. i'm sure it can't harm.

As already stated fill until oil runs out of filler hole , use EP90 for non LSD diffs but not sure about LSD diff may be different oil for them ?
