leaking sump
I checked my zetec sump (alloy) today and discovered a pin sized hole near where the sump bolt has been welded in. I dont want to go to the bother of
getting it ground out and rewelded. So is there anything i can use to seal it like chemical metal or the likes and would it be safe to use on the
inside of the sump.

leakfix! can't remember who it's made by but it's sold at halfrauds in a yellow tube with a seperate hardner with it.
had exactly the same problem with my sump 2 days before sva test, cleaned it up, spread some of said leak fix over the whole and it's been sound
ever since. also seems to be holding out on my fuel tank quite well too!
built a car, built a home, had a family. lost the family, lost the home, still got the car.

Use a blunt centre punch to pein around/over the hole. That will seal it but squish some of the aforementioned sealers in to make sure!!

Dril a hole and tap it then screw in a set screw with a drop or two of Loctite "lock & seal" on it.

So you're the person who put those grub screws in the sump of that engine I bought!
