Good head?
Looking into getting some cylinder head work done in Glasgow/Edinburgh area? failing that Scotland?
Had bad experience last year by tuning place who totally screwed up carb and made car undrivable.
Anyone know of any good quality places?
Cheers,
Iain

Mmmmmm engine services at roslin do a lot of hot rod and f2 stockcar work but I'm not to sure about head work. Worth a phonecall perhaps as at
this time of year they are prob quite quiet.
Agra in Dundee ( are they still going?)
What type of engine are we speaking about by the way?

Yeah i found Agra up north, anyone been to them?
Its the X1/9 engine - 1498cc 128 unit that im wantin to work on, just trying to get an idea of prices at the moment. Hopefully going down the route
of bike carbs (DCOEs need panel beating), nice cam and some head work. Also want to make myself a pipe and can
Either that or drop in an uno turbo engine
Thoughts anyone?

Agra have a reputation second to none. Unquestionably.
John Fyda (the owner) has built some monsters over the years. Not least in his old Vision V87 Clubmans car. The cam (Kent - Piper, can't
remember )manufacturers were proud to be associated with Agra because of the grunt they could get out of a xflow ( the control engine for the
formula).
196bhp from a 1700cc Clubmans 'A' xflow. I believe it was a world record.
They also did the work on Roddy Paterson's hillclimb X1/9 as well IIRC.
So yes - Agra reallyyyyy know their stuff.

Agra are still on the go. I took a crank along to these guys on a Saturday morning and got speaking to the owner John Fyda. He spent about two hours
