Intermittent Oil Pressure- Fixed!!

I'd like to thank the various people who made suggestions on how to fix the intermittent (!) oil pressure problem with my tin top. (MK2 Golf). Warnings would come on, turn ignition off and on again and it would apparently cure the problem.

Also a possible useful fix for Locost applications.

Believing it might be electrical problem I fitted an oil pressure gauge and that showed the pressure was actually dropping so not electrical.

Wasn't much left to try apart from new pump so fitted that and it cured it. Mentioned it to the guy in GFS who sold me the new pump who said a sticky pressure relief valve is quite common in Golfs this old.

So thanks again to all who made suggestions.

Cheers,
James
