What ya think? Zetec Engine Mounts for Luego Velocity XT
Hi guys,
Just finished doing the engine mounts for my Luego.
I looked around and nothing seemed to deliver quite what I wanted - so I used some MK3 Fiesta Gearbox Mountings and got my Dad and his mates to
fabricate some engine mounts. Massive respect to them - they look ace.
There's no play whatsoever in the engine - I'm delighted.
Next step is to get them nickle plated :-)

Inlet Pic 3 is here: Click Me

Exhaust Pic 3 is here: Click Me
Please note pics are a little blurry - due to camera phone and not resized.
Camera arrived from Tesco's today so pics should improve in quality from now on
If anybody's interested - I might be able to get a couple more made up?
I'd have to charge something for them - so Dad and his mates can get a few drinks...
Cheers,
Murray

Hehe
If you want Zetec then no probs - if you want a different engine then you'll have to give me the measurements...
And please make them accurate ;-)
I can't promise they'll make em - but I'll definitely ask for you!
Cheers,
M

would like some too! but not for a luego velocity it would be for a saab 96, would u need measurements for them? i wont be able to measure them for
awhile so i guess its a non starter! the engine is a zetec but i won't be able to offer it up in the engine bay for awhile til i get home for
easter! would u still be offering then?

I'll certainly ask
As long as you give the measurements and are happy to take the mounts based on your measurements - I cant see a problem.
I've asked them - and they are thinking about it
So I'll let you all know
Rough pricing is about £35.00 - there's 3 people involved...

They look good, pretty much the same the ones I made for my zetec. Better than some of the commercial offerings I have seen (no manufacturers
mentioned)

Thanks BigWasa ;-)
Yeah my welding is shocking
Believe me - if I had the skills - I'd be right with you guys in building my own!
You guys who can weld are lucky, you should never forget that!
I'm running CBR 750's - the DAD has come up trumps again with a billet aluminium plate to mount the trumpets to - as an inlet manifold
I'm also running MegaSquirt and EDIS - my mate builds em and he's local
Givemethebighammer - absolutely! I want to know my engines staying where it is
Cheers,
M

when I'll be able to upload some pics I can show you how "well" enginered the engine mount is I paid way to much for.
