zetec starter motor size

As the title says really, I bought a starter motor for the zetec and it's recommended to get the "small body type" Can anyone with this starter motor please measure the length and width of it so I can see if it's the correct one.

Many thanks Mark

What car are you building?
I'm building a Luego velocity with a zetec and the Ford Sierra DOHC starter fits a treat.
Most recommend this starter or 1.8 CVH starter if mating to the type nine box.

the car is built and is standard book chassis, I'm doing the change over from xflow to zetec. I have that type of starter but I've heard there is a two to choose from and one is a small body.

Cheers Mark

I don't have the mesaurements on the smaller starter. But you will notice that if is the wrong starter it will not fit. The starter body will hit the sump. I use an Sierra DOHC starter.
