help with lathing a spacer please

Hi all.... this might be a long shot, but would anyone be able to make me a spacer to go behind my clutch 'slave' cylinder. Need it as the cylinder hasn't got enough throw to work the clutch...

Would like it made of aluminium ideally, but mild steel would also be fine... it would be easiest to lathe it out of a piece of tube, but finding a big enough tube would be a struggle I think.

I've tried the local engineering firms and they either aren't interested in one offs or don't do automotive work because of 'the insurance' (world's gone mad)....

Hope someone can help, will obviously pay for materials and time. If anyone was in the South Wales area and wanted to take me through the process that would be even better!!

Below is my attempt at a drawing...!!
Thanks

Chris
