su carb on ford 1.3 x-flow
su carbs to ford 1.3 x-flow
hi all
i am currently building a locost with a ford 1300 x-flow and am looking to put an su carb on. does anyone know if there is any manifolds out there to
suit and what type of su is best
any help appreciated

I think yonks ago there used to be an angle casting that bolted on the standard downdraught manifold to replace old Solex carbs with a single SU, but
you would probably have to make something now or fit bike carbs!!! that would be like 4 SU's..........

SU to start with is one from a 1275 BL engine that give a choice of sizes - but to tell the truth it isn't worth the effort -- start with a
Weber it will cost less in the end. SU needles aren't as cheap as they used to be and are getting harder to find.

SU Carbs
Hi Myeates i had twin su,s fitted to my pinto 2l [ have a look in my photo archive ] when setting them up and trying different needles etc i got all
the bits from Burlen fuel systems give them a try
