wont tickover
I have just fitted my carb to my xflow, and it starts on the button when manually operating the choke but when I try to back it of she just
dies....carb is a 1600 cortina DNF..
Any ideas.

Blocked jet? air leak? incorrectly set? float level incorrect? . Check the basics first. HTH

ok,
All taken apart and blown thru no blocked jets.
How would i check the float level is correct?

allegedly its from a mk2 1600 gt cortina.
It works but wont tick over..
still asking for help...

DNF = Does Not Function, obvious really
Have you wound down the idel screw? What about timing/igntion?
Has it ever tun, of so, what has been changed?
