bird dry sump

how reliable are bird engines with dry sump against oil surge problems,
also, has anybody had any dealings with holeshot and turbo conversions?

Any engine with a fully functional dry sump system will have zero oil surge problems. Not dealt with holeshot personally but heard nothing but rave reports from those that have.

Went to Oulton on saturday and looked at holeshots 580bhp turbod busa, after seeing it I can almost warrant £5500 on a 320bhp at wheels conversion on the bird lump, cheaper to do than the busa coz its carbd.

I have just done a Accusump with a baffle plate and shortend baffled sump.

initially i had problems with oil pressure but with the oil pick up bafffled i solved it at the weekend.

took the car for a serious work out on the roads i know this is not the same as a track but i really pushed the car on right hand bends sometimes in 3 figures which is where the problems are on the birds and the oil pressure did not move. it was constantly around 70 psi

I must say a big thanks to all the guys on the site for there wise words and expetise for solving the issues.

Cheers
Sean
