If you do decide to go with Weber Alpha be aware that if you want to check/adjust the ignition timing it will be a Weber Alpha dealer only.
When i had mine mapped i had a 220 mile round trip
it's a Nice piece of kit but it's expensive.

What about using Megajolt for ignition and some Webers for fueling ?

get the bike carbs if you want to keep it simple - But get some advice from someone like Bogg Brothers

Bike throttle bodies and megastuff is probably ultimately better but not by a huge amount - depends on if you want the challenge of learing something about fuel injection by building your own.

if your not sure about fuel injection, i'd go for carbs for the fueling(bike carbs or webbers/dellortos either will need a manifold), and a megajolt for the spark.

you could always upgrade to FI once your on th road

Bike carbs seem to be the way foward then for me. what am i going to need for this set up? obviously i will need the bike carbs(dont know which ones for a pre 95 2lt zetec?) What about the megawosit? does anyone make them all ready to go, and also what about all the extras like wiring looms, pumps, pipes etc.

if you are going for bike carbs yamaha r1 seem to be the most popular but shop around as the prices have gone nuts i paid £40 a set a month ago and now they seem to fetch triple that amount

I will be using ZX6 carbs on my 1.6 zetec. 36mm chokes has to be enough for that size of motor in standard tune.

For ignition, I've gone with this solution.
www.kimmins.info

The guy makes it as being bespoke for MGBs, but it really isn't. It will run any engine with a Ford VR sensor on the crank - like a zetec.
Cost 100 quid all in including the loom and it's very very simple to install. It's just a derivative of megajolt only easier to do. Just the thing for me then.

Thats just Megajolt Lite --- might be better to go the hole hogg and go Megasquirt even if you don't initiasly use it for fueling -- quite a few UK megasquirt suppliers some are reputed to be very good eggs.
