Building: Converting Old Phoenix to R1

BEC Gearshift

I'm thinking of making a solenoid operated gearshift for my R1 bec. I've seen starter solenoids and central locking units used, but don't know which way to go. Could anyone advise me of a suitable item, readily available at my local breakers?
