Gearlever question...

Hi all,

Quick - and possibly a bit stupid question...

I've got an Omega gearbox, but when it got taken out of the donor the gearstick pivot and linkage got badly damaged so its unusable.... Unfortunately its not that common a 'box so that aftermarket quickshifters aren't available and as you have to take the gearbox (+engine) out to get at the gearstick / pivot / linkage thingy .....

I was wondering can you use a different make of stick / linkage or do you have to have one specific to the 'box. Unfortunately I don't have access to much fabrication stuff or I might have a go at making something...

Any thoughts??

Chris
