The race line thermostat housing is bassed on the xflow housing ie you would want a xflow gasket.

I seem to recall the standard xflow stat having the wrong temp operating range for the zetec. Burton's sell them and have a range. ie opening at 82, 88 and 92 deg @ £7.25 each and from memory you want the 92 as recomended for the zetec. Part number FTS104.92.

i believe all crossflows in the mk2 where the same so go in say you've got a mk2 escort 1600 ghia, 1979, t reg. that should shut up the counter monkey.

See above edit. The over the counter at Halfords stat for the xflow opens to soon.

On Burtons website it shows it as a QH part but doesnt give the Qh number. Qh website doesnt show a 92 deg stat for the xflow. Sorry can not help more than that.
If you ordered from Burtons Mon morning it should be on your door by Tue/Wed.

Depending on your pluming I have drilled 3 small holls in the stat to avoid locallised overheating of the head on warm-up.

regards wasa

Just a standard stat as used by every british, car in the 1960s to mid 80s available in a wide range of temperatures up to about 92 degrees. Ford used a number of different openning temperatures. Halfords should still list it for the Rover 820Sli petrol and the real Mini.

Not all thermostats of this type have a bleed hole -- if it hasn't drill one -- if it has one fitted with a joggle pin, cut the pin off.
