CVH and Zetec blocks come from the same family tree, a lot of Westie owners have done this coversion. I don't know exactly how the CVH is mounted i your car but it should be possible retain one of the existing engine mounts. Various diameter clutches were used in the 1600 CVH so I can't comment on the clutch apart from saying it may be possible to use all or part of the existing setup.

The CVH exhaust manifold can be fitted to the Zetec --- the bolt holes don't line up but that can be got round -- there is info out on the web about this.

As for spark it would be best to go the whole hog and use Megasquirt for fueling as well. Induction arangments would depend on how much under bonnet clearance you have and where your master cylinder is fitted but you have a choice of throttle bodies, bike throttle bodies or if you have a bit of extra room the Rover 220/820 inlet manifold.

Lots of good info on this site http://www.zetec-cat.co.uk/

If your going 1.8 zetec you best bet is to get one from an escort. Itl have the lighter flywheel and the correct water pump and grooved pulley.

If your zetec is from a mondeo you will need a water pump from an escort 1.8 zetec or 92 fiesta 1.8 zetec.

You will need the crank sensor on it and the cam sensor to can be left if to block the hole in the head up but not used.

Megajolt is your best bet for the ignition if your using carbs and alot cheaper than omex, emerald etc.

Clutch from an early 1.8 mondeo and release brg from a capri/transit. Quinton hazel part no for brg is cct133.
Also youl need a pinto spigot brg. The part no is on the link above.

You will find THIS link handy.

And this
