Where does your Zetec cam belt sit?
My newly finished Zetec install is all working fine now but I have noticed that my cam belt seems to sit right at th front of the Cam pulleys. It
looks as if it should be sitting about 3-4mm further back, ie in the middle of the pulley but I cant see anything that would either cause the belt to
move forward or that would help to keep the belt sitting further back. I replaced the belt and followers as part of the re-build and have double
checked that the crank pulley says 'front' at the front, now I'm at a loss as to how to make the belt run further back or wether it
matters?
Cheers

I seem to remember mine sitting near the edge of the pulley. I would just keep an eye on it for a while, I suspect all is OK.

the thing that keeps it in position are the flanges on the pulleys, check with a straight edge they are all in line or it will wear out pretty quick

Mine sits dead in the middle of the pulleys, but I've seen them either way. Watch for unusual wear patterns on the belt and on the finish on
the pulleys. If it's not changing and the belt doesn't wear unduly, you should be fine. The flanges will keep it on through quite a bit
of misalignment, but you don't ever want the belt to break. Although I've not had the experience, I've heard that Zetec motors will
make like a grenade if the belt breaks when the engine's at speed.
