Leaky Sump

I've got a Dunnell shortened sump on my Zetec which p1sses oil like a sieve from the welds - anyone got any suggestions on how to make it oil tight without resorting to re-welding?

Thanks, James.

Clean the inside with petrol and use some tank sealant in it.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Doesn't sound too great - I was looking at getting hold of one to fit to a black top.

Is this old, secondhand or new??

Cheers

I purchased the car second hand with engine already installed but I would have expected a bit more from a Dunnell part given the price.

Id ring dunnell and see what they say. It shouldnt leak unless its been hit so must be faulty manufacture.
