zetec engines

I recently bought a 2ltr zetec engine from a scrappies and later discovered that i would need to de-immobilise it as i dont have the key fob. does any of u kind gents know a way of doing this which does not involve spending too much cash as cost is a major consideration thanx rr

Hi,

its the ecu thats immobilized, and as its accepted that the standard ecu is not suitable for use in kit, shouldn't be a problem.

i can demobilise most of the zetec ecus i need to know more details

Easy way is to take it off and chuck it in the bin and fit an aftermarket one...
