Exhaust link pipe
Right...
Thanks to the roadworks around Le Mans, I now have to re-engineer my exhaust system (lump of road ripped my nice silencer from 907 in two - fixable
thank god).
Rather than use flexi pipe for the manifold to silencer, though, I'd like to get a proper link pipe made up.
Who could do this (ideally locally to Reading) for minimum cost. Pipe will be essentially about 6 inches long with a 1-2 inch parallel kink in it with
the inlet and outlets parallel.
Thanks
Stephen

how the heck did it get ripped off, you're exhaust is half way up the side of hte car!
and how long did the flexi last, kept thinking of that solution and people talked me out of it.

Flexi has lasted 1000 miles in the heat of the sidepod and still going strong. However, while I've got it all apart, now is a good time to
engineer a better solution.
How did it happen?
Fury Exhaust hangs out of the side pod and was pointing down at a 45 degree angle to the road. Big pothole that lowers the car in the rear quarter and
it just whacks on the ground.
New mounting will ensure the pipe is 90 degrees to the car - i.e. straight out - so won't be lower than the pod. Also thinking about cutting
down the pipe so it sits closer to the pod itself and doesn't jut out so much.
will post pictures when I get my digital camera back...

Oh...and rubber bobbins don't seem to last too long in the sidepod either - fine on a 7 with good airflow down the side. Not so good in an
enclosed space. Just heat up and perish away...
