Weber 32/36 oil breather inlets....

Got a Pinto with a Weber 32/36 carb.

The Pinto's got two oil breathers, block and rocker box.

The manifold has only got one inlet for breather, but also one for brake servo (currently blocked).

Question is: Can I use the brake servo inlet (on branch 4 of the manifold) as a oil breather inlet? Or will the pulsing be a problem? Or will it have some other effect.

I do already have a 'T' piece that could be fitted to the manifold inlet to have both breathers but it's too small and I'll need a reducer.

That make sense?

Thanks,
James

I connected the PCV to the inlet on branch 4 of the inlet and it worked well. When it wasnt connected i got some fumes from rocker breather and oil leak from sump (preumably due to crankcase positive pressure). Oil leak stopped when i connected PCV.

Ive since taken the valve bit out of the PCV and connected this and the rocker cover to an oil catch tank in readiness for bike carbs and it still works well 9obviously manifold connection now blocked off).

HTH,
Darren.

You can't connect the crankcase breather to the inlet manifold without a PCV valve otherwise the engine is seeing an air leak, i.e. number 4 cylinder will be running weak at part throttle.

Obviously this is not an issue with a brake servo as you don't get a continous flow of air.
