i know how they work, but not sure how to fit one.
i know you cut out a bit of the inlet and replace it with a t but theres a small pipe ontop of the dump valve, now where does that fit ?

This is the vacuum pipe,it connects to the inlet manifold, the drop in pressure in the manifold when you lift the throttle, causers a vacuum, which lifts
the piston in the dump valve, and so releasing the boost pressure in the system.

it would help if you said what system you have for fuel , since its important not to dump any metered air , like if you place it after an AMM . a
twin piston is needed so that its not open at idle . it also needs to be placed before the throttle plate .

ok , if its MAP based youll be fine on any dump valve , just make sure its placed before the throttle plate , the vacuum nipple on the dump valve can
be taken anywhere after the throttle , just as long as it sees vacuum to open the valve .
