another clutch and pedal question

4 speed box, cable operate clutch and pedal is Ford item, escort or capri - the type, looking from side has calbe at top, pivot and then the pedal rubber.

now it works but if I grab the pedal, I can pull it towards me - is this gonna be an SVA issue? Should I put in a stop?

If the pedal/clutch works ok, I would put in a stop. Apart from sva, it could cause you to have an accident if you accidently flipped the pedal up as you went for the brake
