Megajolt, MAP or TPS?
I'm building an MK Indy, powered by a Toyota 4AGE 16V engine with twin Weber DCOE carbs on it. I was originally going to go the Omex ECU route
but having read some posts on the Megajolt thought I'd give it a go.
My first question is, has anyone done a Megajolt installation on a 4AGE before? If so any advice, ignition maps etc gladly received.
Secondly, I had assumed that a throttle position sensor was the way to go, since that what the Omex system was going to use but on the Megajolt site
MAP was recommended to me as far better. So, for those of you that have done Megajolt installations, which is better please, TPS or MAP sensor?
Any other advice, cheap suppliers etc gladly received.
thanks
Pete

Hi,
if you can get a clean MAP signal from your system, then go for a MAP version.
i could supply TPS or MAP version u2u if your interested.

I was lead to believe that it is difficult to get a uniform MAP reading with multiple carbs so I opted for TPS.
The fact that one came with the bike carbs helped.
I think MAP is better as it reflects load as well as throttle opening but only if you have a consistent reading. TPS comes a close second but will
always give a consistent reading and is easier to set up.

If you're running boost or a single carb / throttle go with MAP otherwise TPS.
Are you a Mac user or a retard?
